This week we continue to study the life of David and find that he has fled Saul into the wilderness. And much like Pharaoh who pursued Israel as they fled, Saul will pursue David, the new Israel, in his bloodthirsty rampage. In these first encounters in Nob and Gath, what can we learn about David and why, even in these days in the wilderness, he is called a man after God’s own heart?
