9.27.20 A New Adam

Continuing our study in the Book of Ruth, we come to chapter 2 where Boaz enters the story. Not only are the readers introduced to this new character, but so is Ruth, and immediately all the hope we’ve seen hinted at in chapter 1 begins to come to fruition.

As we will see, not only is Boaz the key character to the possibility of redemption in this story, but he is a key character in the larger story that god is telling that culminates when a distant offspring dies and raises to life to secure the salvation of us all.
