This morning we conclude our advent series about incarnational love, noting the incarnation teaches us that true, biblically defined, God-glorifying love does not stay away, but is present, unveiled and close enough to touch.
Throughout this series we have honed in on individual characters within the Christmas narrative. Today we look at the less popular aspects of the Christmas narrative. Lots of us take the time to learn about the Shepherds, the Magi, Mary and Joseph – but what about Caesar Augustus? Roman soldiers? Herod or all of the children slaughtered by his decree?
