Today, we continue through 1 Samuel with a sobering look at Saul’s final

descent—into fear, silence, and ultimately the grave. While David faces a

crisis of allegiance in Philistine territory, Saul stands alone, abandoned by God and desperate for guidance. In chapter 28, we see the devastating consequences of ignoring God’s Word. In contrast to Saul’s darkness, we are pointed to the hope and light found in Christ, the Living Word.
